This week marks a legendary occasion in the marriage of Boston music and sports. On Tuesday, August 15 and Wednesday, August 16 Fenway Park is playing host to the minister of rock and roll, the infamous Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. I’d swim across the Boston harbor to get a pair of tickets to see this show. I don’t even think I’d have to like Springsteen and I’d still want to go. There’s something magical about pairing a rock legend with a historic sports venue like Fenway. The two were meant for each other. So this got me thinking. What other awesome concerts have there been in the basilica of baseball? And who’s made the most appearances?
Well after a quick search I uncovered Fenway’s concert history and as expected there’s been some pretty big names to headline what is probably the most epic concert venue in the world…or at least in Major League Baseball. Check it out!
